(Toronto) Scotiabank says some account holders are not receiving direct deposits or cheque deposits including payroll payments.
Customers have taken to social media to complain about the problem, noting that it comes on payday towards the end of the month, when many bills are due.
The bank said in a statement that it is actively working to resolve the issue as soon as possible and apologizes for any inconvenience.
Scotiabank did not provide an estimate of when the issue would be resolved.
Last year, TD Bank Group had an issue where its customers were not receiving direct deposits on Fridays.
In TD’s case, the problem was resolved mid-morning the next day.
