(Montreal) Scotiabank has announced the appointment of Jean-François Courville as president of the bank’s operations in Quebec.
The bank said the new position is aimed at supporting its growth strategy in the province.
The bank’s Canadian network group head, Aris Bogdaneris, said Mr. Courville’s extensive experience and knowledge make him uniquely positioned to support Scotiabank’s strategy.
Mr. Bogdaneris indicated that Mr. Courville will lead the team in identifying growth opportunities and establishing new relationships in Quebec.
Scotiabank added that Mr. Courville joins the bank from Purpose Unlimited, a financial services and technology company.
He previously held positions at Wealthsimple, RBC Wealth Management and Manulife Investment Management.
