Scooter accident | Two young women seriously injured

Two women aged 19 and 20 who were riding an electric scooter were taken to hospital after a collision with a car. They are seriously injured, according to the Montreal Police Department (SPVM).

“According to initial information received, the scooter was traveling eastbound and the vehicle in the opposite direction; a collision occurred between the two parties,” said the SPVM.

The incident took place on Senneville Road in Montreal’s West Island. The 911 call was made around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday. The SPVM said early in the evening that the two victims were out of danger.

The other driver, a man in his thirties, was not injured and remained at the scene to assist the victims.

Senneville Road is partially closed to traffic. A perimeter has been set up at the scene. “Investigators from the collision investigation section are on their way to analyze the scene,” the SPVM said.
