Scientists have discovered a hidden passage inside the Great Pyramid of Egypt, authorities announced on Thursday (March 2). This tunnel is nine meters long and more than two meters wide, said the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities. This discovery was made thanks to the ScanPyramids project. This international scientific mission is studying the interior of such monuments as part of a collaboration between French, German, Canadian and Japanese universities and a group of Egyptian experts.

This tunnel could “protect something”

Since the end of 2015, she has been peering into the belly of the pyramid of Cheops, the largest of the three pyramids of Giza, using cutting-edge non-invasive technologies.
