The five-year order will see a first delivery of 10 72-seater buses for the 2022/2023 school year.

The Drummondville company maintains that the deployment of these new buses will help reduce nearly 1,150 tonnes of greenhouse gases per year.

“Our priority is to do our part for the environment by offering our customers eco-responsible vehicles, corresponding to the best standards of the transport industry and aimed at reducing our ecological footprint”, indicated in a press release Michel Daneault, vice-president at Girardin.

“Girardin is a contributor to this project, offering Autobus Auger first-rate support and assistance in the acquisition of electric buses and infrastructure,” said Sylvain Auger, President of Autobus Auger.

First, the new Blue Bird Vision electric buses will be deployed by Autobus Auger to transport students from the Center de services scolaire des Navigateurs.
