Faced with school bullying, some establishments have already taken the lead. Illustration at the Jacques Monod college in Compiègne, in the Oise, where a dozen students “vigilant ambassadors” participated in the government’s prevention plan against school harassment.

At the Jacques Monod college in Compiègne (Oise), from the 6th to the 3rd, the gathered students sing a song which evokes the story of a humiliated teenager, molested by his comrades, to the point of disappearing. “It’s sad, but we have to talk about it”believes Eva, a 6th grader. An operation orchestrated in recent weeks by Nathalie Venaud, professor of music education.

Student bully identified

“All students are concerned, whether they are bullies or bullies. I thought it was important to make them aware of this, so that they would be careful not to annoy their classmates.”says Nathalie Venaud. This year, ten students “vigilant ambassadors” were part of the government’s prevention plan against school bullying. In college, a bullying student was quickly identified. At the start of the next school year, this anti-harassment plan will be extended to all high schools.
