“Scherzando” by Kent, a long evocation full of tenderness and humor of the years of youth

After the tour celebrating his 4 decades of career, the publication of the novel “Peine Perdue” and the release of a comic strip on the life of Elvis, Kent had decided to take a sabbatical year. And, having the feeling of having traveled quite a bit, he wondered if it was worth it to continue to sing… And then the successive confinements went through this, and to fight against the heavy feeling of inaction without freedom which made him going around in circles, he took his guitar and the songs came.

And then, this confirmed singer-songwriter, who didn’t like doing covers, revisits in its own way 2 borrowings : “Already come to you” by Emmanuel Urbanet and “It’s too late” by Georges Moustaki.

After a piano-voice album, then an opening towards a more pop formula, Kent, faithful to his desire to be different each time, favored an intimate approach. According to a rhythmic break accentuated by the intervention of a battery, the tempo accelerates and the electric guitar becomes haunting to narrate what was the trigger for a long career and ends with the debut of Starshooter , the flagship group of French punk rock.
