Savoyard Johan Clarey silver medalist in the men’s Olympic downhill

He did it ! At 41, the skier from Tignes Johan Clarey wins the silver medal on the men’s downhill this Monday at the Olympic Winter Games. Clarey becomes the oldest medalist in the history of the Games in alpine skiing. He finished second just ten hundredths behind the Swiss Beat Feuz, crowned Olympic champion.

It is the second medal for the French clan in Beijing. He is ahead of the Olympic downhill champion in 2014 in Sochi Matthias Mayer.
