(Burbank) Tom Sizemore, actor known for his role in the film We have to save the soldier Ryan released in 1998, died Friday at the age of 61.
The American star had suffered a brain aneurysm on February 18 at his home in Los Angeles. He died Friday in his sleep in a hospital in Burbank, California, confirmed his manager Charles Lago.
Sizemore rose to prominence with acclaimed appearances in murder in blood (Natural Born Killers) and the cult detective film Tension (Heat).
However, a serious drug addiction, allegations of abuse and multiple run-ins with the law devastated his career, dragging him to the streets and sending him to prison.
As the global wave of the #metoo movement peaked in late 2017, Sizemore was also suspected of sexual misconduct on an 11-year-old girl from Utah in 2003. He called the allegations “very disturbing,” claiming that he would never touch a child inappropriately. Charges have not been filed.
Despite his multiple legal issues, Sizemore has appeared in the credits of dozens of film and television productions, despite his career never regaining its former momentum.

In recent years, Sizemore has had roles in several sci-fi, horror and action films.
He is survived by his 17-year-old twin sons, Jayden and Jagger, and his brother Paul, who were all by his side at the time of his passing.
