Saturday in the NHL | The Stars serve an 8-1 correction to the Lightning

Jason Robertson scored two goals and the Dallas Stars delivered an 8-1 beating to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

Joe Pavelski had a goal and two assists while Jamie Benn and Mason Marchment both had a goal and an assist for the Stars.

Tyler Seguin, Thomas Harley and Sam Steel also scored while Jani Hakanpaa and Roope Hintz both set up two goals for the winners. Jake Oettinger made 32 saves for the Stars.

Victor Hedman scored the only goal for the Lightning, who suffered a fourth loss in a row for the first time this season.

The Stars’ eight goals tied their season high and was also the Lightning’s highest total allowed.

Andrei Vasilevskiy was chased from his net after two periods. He allowed six goals on 25 shots in his fourth start of the season, after returning to the game. Jonas Johansson conceded two goals late in the game.

Robertson has eight goals in 22 games this season, after scoring 18 goals in the same number of games last campaign.
