Senators win 4-0 over Lightning
Brady Tkachuk had a hat trick and the Ottawa Senators defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Tkachuk scored his ninth, 10th and 11th goals of the campaign in the Senators’ 8-16-1 victory, who rebounded from a 5-3 loss to the New York Islanders on Tuesday night.
Josh Norris completed the scoring for the Senators, and Drake Batheson had two assists in the home victory.
Sens goalie Anton Forsberg made 25 saves and signed his first career NHL shutout.
His opposite, Brian Elliott, repelled a total of 19 shots in the loss of the Lightning (17-6-4).
