A decisive goal from Brandt Clarke gives the victory to the Kings

Brandt Clarke gave the Kings the victory with his first NHL goal on Saturday, allowing Los Angeles to defeat the Bruins 5-4 in Boston in overtime.

Clarke scored at 4:33 on a breakaway, using a nice feint.

He was coming out of the dungeon after hooking David Pastrnak.

The 21-year-old Ontario native was drafted eighth overall in 2021 by the Kings.

David Rittich blocked 28 shots for the Kings, who have won four of their last five games.

Anze Kopitar evened the score with 1:35 left in the third period, deflecting a shot.

Matt Roy, Vladislav Gavrikov and Alex Laferriere also scored for the Kings. Pierre-Luc Dubois was complicit in two goals.

The Kings will play again Sunday evening in Pittsburgh.

James van Riemsdyk scored a double in the first period in a losing cause.

Anthony Richard and Trent Frederic were the other scorers for the Bruins, who have lost their last four games.

Linus Ullmark made 30 saves.

Boston will host the Dallas Stars on Monday afternoon.
