Flames win 6-5 in Dallas

Chris Tanev had the game-changing goal late in the second period on Saturday as the Calgary Flames beat the Dallas Stars 6-5.

Tanev scored his first goal of the season at 17:57, giving his side a 6-1 lead.

Deep in the backcourt, Adam Ruzicka’s forecheck paid off and shortly after, Tanev hit the target with a slap shot.

Nazem Kadri scored a 17e net, he who dominates the Flames in this regard.

Andrew Mangiapane scored 25 seconds after the initial face-off.

Trevor Lewis, Elias Lindholm and Rasmus Andersson were the other Flames scorers.

Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar each provided two assists.

Author of 29 saves, Dan Vladar flinched against Joe Pavelski (twice), Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn and Colin Miller. Scott Wedgewood blocked 30 shots.

Calgary wraps up a five-game road trip Monday night in Nashville.
