Saturday in the NHL | Canucks lose 4-1 to Hurricanes

Martin Necas had a goal and an assist in his 23and birthday and the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Vancouver Canucks 4-1 on Saturday.

Vincent Trocheck also had a goal and an assist for the Hurricanes, which ended a two-game losing streak.

Sebastian Aho and Steven Lorentz completed the scoring for the Carolina squad, which was shut out for the first time this season on Thursday.

Andrei Svechnikov set up two Hurricanes goals and Frederik Andersen stood up to 30 shots.

Bo Horvat was the author of the only success of the Canucks, who lost the first three games of a series of five on the road. Thatcher Demko made 29 saves.

Aho opened the scoring by hitting the target for a 16and time this season, a record for the Hurricanes. It was his first goal in over a month.
