A sixth straight win for the Bruins
Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark scored in an empty net and his team won 3-1 against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.
It was the sixth straight win for the Bruins.
Ullmark blocked the puck, before directing it to the other end of the ice, into the opposing net.
He became the 13e goaltender in NHL history to score a goal.
Defenseman Hampus Lindholm and Brad Marchand scored in the first period for the Bruins. Ullmark stopped 26 shots.
Brock Boeser scored for the Canucks.
Lindholm opened the scoring with 2:52 left in the first period on the power play. Lindholm beat Arturs Silovs with a slap shot from the point. Marchand doubled the lead with 35 seconds in the first period.
Boeser hit the target at 7:24 of the third period.
Silovs blocked 32 shots.

A fifth straight victory for the Avalanche
Nathan MacKinnon scored a goal to extend his streak with at least one point to seven and Alexandar Georgiev stopped 28 shots, and the Colorado Avalanche beat the Calgary Flames 4-1 to earn their fifth game victory. continued, Saturday.
Mikko Rantanen, Alex Newhook and Denis Malgin also scored for the Avalanche, who are now tied for second in the Central Division.
Defender Cale Makar was still sidelined due to concussion protocol. Makar missed a second game in a row. The defender has missed five of the last seven games due to two concussions.
Nazem Kadri got an assist on Tyler Toffoli’s goal, in his first game at Colorado since the forward helped the team win the Stanley Cup. Jacob Markstrom made 18 saves for the Flames.
MacKinnon scored on the Avalanche’s first shot for the second straight game. It was the 21e of MacKinnon this season. Newhook then made it 2-0 with their 13e of the campaign, after 8: 22 of play in the first period. 38e Rantanen’s net after just 2:42 in the second half made it 3-0.
Toffoli’s goal reduced the lead to 3-1. Toffoli scored his 25e of the season late in the second period, but Malgin restored the Avalanche to a three-goal lead early in the third period.

Vasilevskiy makes 45 shots as Lightning win 3-0 over Red Wings
Andrei Vasilevskiy made 45 saves to sign his 30e career shutout in the NHL, and the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-0 on Saturday.
Nikita Kucherov got his 699e career point after getting a goal and an assist.
Brayden Point also had a goal and an assist, while Alex Killorn added an empty-netter to help the team win for the second time in five games.
Ville Husso stopped 15 shots for the Red Wings. The team had won seven of their last nine meetings. It’s the third time the Red Wings have been shut out this season.
Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen injured his leg blocking a shot in the first period and did not return in the game.
35e Point’s net this season was the only goal scored in the first period. Kucherov’s pass helped Point slip behind the defense and shoot into the top of the net.
The Red Wings outshot the second period 19-3, but the Lightning still took a 2-0 lead.
After a penalty expired from the Lightning, Kucherov fired a backhand shot, beating Husso between the pads with seven seconds left in the second period. The 22nde Kucherov’s season was his 20e net in 32 games against the Red Wings.

Mercer scores in sixth straight game as Devils beat Flyers 7-0
Dawson Mercer scored a goal in a sixth straight game, goaltender Akira Schmid blocked 24 shots and had a first shutout, and the New Jersey Devils crushed the Philadelphia Flyers 7-0 on Saturday night.
In doing so, the Devils handed goaltender Samuel Ersson his first loss.
Jonas Siegenthaler, Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier, Dougie Hamilton, Jesper Bratt and Nathan Bastian also found the back of the net for the Devils, who are 15-3-2 in their last 20 games.
The winning margin of seven goals is the biggest since the start of the season for the Devils. By scoring seven goals, they equaled a team high this season.
Errson, who had become the 12e goalkeeper to win each of his first six decisions, blocked 29 shots and was spectacular. The Flyers, however, have improved to 1-6-1 in their last eight meetings.
Two of the Devils’ goals were deflected by Flyers players, one came when a defender was pushed onto Ersson, clearing the goalkeeper’s area and the other four were scored by players left alone at the mouth of the net.

Four-point game for Jack Roslovic in Blue Jackets win
Jack Roslovic scored twice in the third period on Saturday to guide the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 6-5 win over the Edmonton Oilers.
The score was 4-4 when Roslovic converted a long rebound off a Patrik Laine shot at 9:01.
Roslovic added his sixth goal of the season at 14:56.
The 26-year-old American also took part in nets for Laine and Boone Jenner.
Kirill Marchenko also scored twice for the Blue Jackets, who had lost their last two games.
Laine and Johnny Gaudreau had two assists each.
Joonas Korpisalo stopped 48 shots, including 22 in the third period.
Connor McDavid had two goals and two assists for the Oilers, who were looking for a third straight win.
Warren Foegele, Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl were the other scorers for the Oilers.
Jack Campbell stopped 10 shots before giving way to Stuart Skinner, who also made 10 saves.
Edmonton sits third in the Pacific Division, two points behind the Los Angeles Kings.
The Oilers will host the Boston Bruins on Monday night.

Penguins win 3-2 against Blues
Bryan Rust scored the game-winning goal at 1:16 of overtime as the Pittsburgh Penguins won 3-2 against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday.
Marcus Pettersson scored his first goal of the season 14:32 into the third period, giving the Penguins a 2-1 lead. Justin Faulk, however, tied the game some three minutes later to even the score.
Evgeni Malkin also scored and Tristan Jarry stopped 25 shots to improve his career record against the Blues to 5-0.
Pavel Buchnevich scored the other Blues goal, and Jordan Binnington made 46 saves. The Blues have lost their fifth straight game since trading Ryan O’Reilly and Noel Acciari. In those losses, they were outscored 21-8 in goals scored.
Buchnevich deflected a Robert Thomas shot just 23 seconds into the second period to give the Blues a 1-0 lead.
The Penguins tied the game 1-1 on Malkin’s goal. Rust made the pass to his teammate, alone on the other side of the net. It was a 22e this season for Malkin, who has five points (three goals and two assists) in his last four games.
The Penguins outshot the Penguins 21-7 in the first period. It was the fourth time this season that a Blues goaltender had made more than 20 saves in one period.
