On May 29, she will celebrate a very sad anniversary: the 40th anniversary of the disappearance of her famous mother, Romy Schneider.
The actress had, remember, been found dead in her apartment. Besides, Sarah was 4 years old at the time and is very clear on the subject: “Human beings are complex and go through a lot of things in life. Me, what interests me is my mother and a little less the actress.“
Now 44 years old, the main interested party has written a book and evokes it thus in the columns of Gala: “The will came to me two years before the desecration of my mother’s grave. I have always loved reading. I wanted isolation, to carry out a project on my own. I revolved around a love story. And there was this unbelievable conjunction of events. When you start writing, you have to do it with honesty and a certain legitimacy regarding the subject you are tackling. Basically, maternal love is the theme that has always interested me: the ambivalences of a mother, my relationship to my mother, to my surrogate mothers, to my daughter…“
And Sarah Biasini was also questioned about the “matching ages” since Romy Schneider was indeed 44 years old when she lost her life. “Anyway, the more time passes, the lighter we end up. The correspondence of ages, I am thinking of that, of course. It was my father who first warned me that it would do something to me, two or three years ago. There were the obvious reasons. But he also made me realize something that had escaped me: my mother was still young when she left. So, of course, being 44 is troubling, like a turning point for me“, she says.
