The Angoulême Francophone Film Festival was in full swing, from August 23 to 28, 2022, in the Charente department. The jury chaired by André Dussollier has finally delivered its verdict and unveiled the incredible prize list of this 15th edition. An audience of stars had made the trip to attend this closing ceremony, in particular those who climbed the podium to receive the elegant golden statuette, symbol of the event.

After deliberation, this is the movie The worst which left crowned with the grand prize of the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival 2022. This feature film, by Lise Akoka and Romane Gueret, is an adaptation of the novel crying rivers by Alain Jaspard. He recounts a shoot that takes place in the Picasso estate, in Boulogne-sur-Mer, where two opposing worlds confront each other: that of the filmmakers and that of the chosen actors, from a disadvantaged neighborhood.
