SAQ union members could give themselves a 15-day strike mandate

Union members of stores and offices of the Société des alcools du Québec will be called on Friday to decide on a 15-day strike mandate, to be exercised at the appropriate time.

However, the results of the vote will not be revealed until Saturday.

The main points in dispute are the creation of permanent positions and working hours, says the union.

The collective agreement expired on March 31, 2023.

The union, which is attached to the Federation of Public Service Employees, affiliated with the CSN, has 5,500 members.
