Unknown to the general public a few months ago, Sandrine Rousseau has established herself in the public debate. With her ecological fight and her punchlines on “the deconstructed man” or the “barbecue symbol of virility”, this asserted radical feminist unleashes taunts on social networks. Worse, the deputy also receives death threats.
On social networks, she claims to be a victim of cyberbullying. Her parody account “Sardine Ruisseau”, which caricatures her in particularly aggressive tweets, has more subscribers than her official account. It also inspires behavior that is in no way virtual, such as this individual who came “in touch with” during his last trip to call her a “sardine”.
When she tells the incident to her collaborators, Sandrine Rousseau asks them to be vigilant in the future. It is that there is even more worrying: on her phone, the elected environmentalist received 42 messages in a single day, mainly “I’m going to kill you”, “I’m going to rape you”…
“Ecofeminist carrion”, “I’m going to cut your throat”
The threats received by the feminist deputy have earned her the attention of the Ministry of the Interior. They are so virulent that police protection was considered this fall (it was ultimately not implemented). Added to the file, the door of his house covered with stickers bearing the image of Eric Zemmour, but also ultra-violent letters calling for rape and murder. One of them begins with “Hi Rousseau, ecofeminist carrion”; another with “I’m going to cut your throat, you dirty whore”.
The MP filed a complaint five times. Sandrine Rousseau takes these intimidations seriously, but claims not to change anything in her habits. For example, she continues to travel by metro.
