MP and finalist in the environmental primary Sandrine Rousseau reported, Monday, September 19 on France 5, having received at her home a woman accusing the national secretary of Europe Écologie-Les Verts (EELV) Julien Bayou of “behaviours likely to break the moral health of women”.

Asked about the deputy for Paris, in an issue of the program “C à Vous” devoted in part to domestic violence confessed to on Sunday by the deputy LFI Adrien Quatennens, Sandrine Rousseau replied: “I received at home for a very long time an ex-companion of Julien Bayou, I think that behaviors are likely to break the moral health of women”. She continued: “They are obviously several, I only heard one testimony. A journalistic investigation seems to be in progress”.

The elected environmentalist says: “When I saw this woman, she was in a very depressed state, she was in very bad shape, she also attempted suicide a few weeks later”. “It’s one of the questions that will come to the table” to the party, she added.

Julien Bayou, who could not be reached immediately, had assured the beginning of July at the Figaro (article reserved for subscribers) that he would be questioned by an internal party commission “as soon as possible on what in no way constitutes gender-based or sexual violence or inappropriate behavior towards anyone”.

“Unfortunately, this is a story that ends in pain, and a break that comes with barely veiled threats against me and a form of instrumentalization that I can only deplore”he added.

He had mentioned “a resentment that she does not hide since she clearly wrote to me, three days after having seized the internal commission of EELV: ‘Worry. I will come back and in force. (…) The fall will be painful.'”
