Sandra Murcia and Elisabeth Mousny motivated at the start of the Rallye des princesses, place Vendôme

For its 21st edition, the princess rally has chosen as godmothers: Sandra Murcia and Elisabeth Mousny. This Sunday, May 15, 2022, they took the start on Place Vendôme, in Paris. Not only are they ambassadors of this Princess Rally, they will of course be co-drivers and wear the colors of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and Klausen cars. It is also the company that provided Sandra Murcia and Elisabeth Mousny’s car as well as the assistance vehicle.

And for this 2022 Princess Rally, it’s driving a superb 1958 Mercedes-Benz 190sl, an exact replica of the car in Alfred Hitchkock’s legendary film, The hand on the collar, with Gary Grant and Grace Kelly, that the duo will run this rally. The two women will ride nearly 300 to 350 kilometers a day. No less than four stages are planned this year after Paris. Sandra Murcia and Elisabeth Mousny will discover the sublime landscapes offered by the Opal Coast and the Atlantic Coast, passing through Le Touquet, Deauville, Dinard…

A 100% female team, vintage cars

This 100% female crew is racing under the colors of the oceanographic museum because these two sports friends have decided to take on this challenge. And like others before them, including Solweig Rediger Lizlow and Audrey Marnay, they have set their sights on the Rallye des Princesses. The event was taken over this year by a company familiar with the organization of automobile events, Peter Auto (le Tour auto, Le Mans Classic). And it’s more than a hundred cars, or about 200 drivers and co-drivers – exclusively women – who take part. They will thus travel nearly 1,000 kilometers in vintage cars dating from the 1950s to 1980s, report our colleagues from West France.
