San Francisco 49ers | Trent Williams ends his strike

(Santa Clara) Star left tackle Trent Williams ended his strike and reported to the 49ers from San Francisco to conclude an agreement.

Williams’ agency, Elite Loyalty Sports, said on social media Tuesday that Williams was set to join his teammates six days before their season opener against the New York Jets.

Williams remained at home in Texas throughout the California team’s camp while he waited to get a new contract from the 49ers.ershe has racked up more than $5 million in fines for missing camp and three preseason games.

However, he is reportedly on the verge of ratifying a new pact, meaning that the 49ers could settle their two major contract disputes before the start of the NFL regular season. The Niners reached a four-year, $120 million deal with star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk last Thursday, ending his “strike.”

This recent information suggests that the 49ers will be able to count on virtually the same team as last year, which particularly distinguished itself on offense. The only players missing who played at least 200 plays on offense last season are backup guard Jon Feliciano, backup tight end Charlie Woerner and wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud.

Williams’ return could therefore have a significant impact on the performance of the 49ers in attack.
