The bodies of more than 40 suspected migrants were found dead Monday inside and around an abandoned tractor-trailer in the south Texas suburb of San Antonio, The New York Times reported.

At least a dozen others were still alive and taken to local hospitals, officials told the New York daily on condition of anonymity. All of the victims are believed to have entered the United States illegally.
