Samuel-De Champlain Bridge | Three minors arrested for entering bridge structure

Three teenagers were arrested for breaking and entering after filming themselves in the structure of the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge in Montreal at the end of January. They were released pending trial.

Images of the break-in had circulated on social networks after the young people photographed and filmed themselves on January 20 and 21. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) then opened an investigation, the police force indicated in a press release.

The Samuel-De Champlain Bridge connects the island of Montreal to the South Shore. The young people were in the “bridge structure”, specifies the SQ.

The investigation led to the arrest of three minors. They were met by investigators from the Greater Montreal highway network investigations team.

They were released pending further legal proceedings.
