World Rugby, the international rugby federation announced, Wednesday, February 23, the appointment of the Briton Sally Horrox as director of women’s rugby, a few months before the World Cup which will take place in New Zealand next fall.
A former adviser to UEFA and the English Football Federation, in particular, Horrox will succeed Katie Sadleir in May, who will take charge of the Commonwealth Games.

“I am delighted and extremely privileged to join World Rugby to lead what is considered to be the sport’s biggest development globally,” commented the main interested party.

The 12th and last team qualified for the World Cup, which will be held from October 8 to November 12, and which had been postponed for a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will be known on Friday after a dam between Scotland and Colombia which will be played in Dubai.
