Like every year, Maison Berthon d’Hagetmau holds its traditional October sale. Meet on site Friday and Saturday October 7 and 8 to fill your baskets with good products. So now is the time or never to come and buy your fresh grilled meats, roasts, loins, fillets, spider crabs, chipolatas, sausages, stuffings,… Your hams, breasts, pâtés, rillettes, pudding… Otherwise of course all Berthon preserves are waiting for you.
On Saturday many exhibitors will also be part of the party, so you will get to know artisans and producers: Laouilhe yoghurts from Phillondenx, Bordenave Coustarret en Jurançon white wine, pastries and chocolates from Delphine Carrère, craft beers from Lit et Mixe – Bière Naturelle des Landes , artisanal soap factory La Pacheraie, Loïc & Marie from Les Vergers de la Lande in Monségur; kiwi-apple-juice and vinegar, Pastadiu, homemade pasta from Castelnau Chalosse, Chips Tchanque from Solférino, Bastien and its cheeses from the Baretous valley or even Noun, hazelnut from Coudures with its spread, cereals and mixes various.
Caramelized pork ribs and pressed pig’s trotters
At Berthon, we work tirelessly on recipes. We work on tastes and flavors, in short, we don’t rest on our achievements. And at the moment we are developing a “pressed pork trotters with gribiche sauce”, a dish that requires a long preparation time. By listening to the program of the day Pierre and François give you their homemade recipe. They also make us taste their famous caramelized pork ribs, “coustous” as we say in Gascony.
