This is the highest salary increase forecast since 2008, according to the College.
The information and communications technology sector is expected to benefit the most, with projected increases of 4.9%, according to these forecasts for 2023.
In an interview on Wednesday, the director general of the Order, Manon Poirier, explained that it is above all the shortage of labor that has this effect on the increase in wages. And demand has been great in information technology for years, and not just in big business, she reports.
On the other hand, it is workers in municipal, provincial and federal public administrations who should receive the lowest wage increases, according to the same forecasts, i.e. 3.1% in 2023.
