(Montreal) A man lost his life during an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) ride in Saint-Raymond, in the administrative region of Capitale-Nationale
Emergency services were notified Saturday evening around 8 p.m. of the swerve that occurred on Rang Saguenay.
“For a reason that remains unknown, the driver would have lost control of his vehicle and then been ejected and the latter would have found himself stuck under the vehicle,” explained Nicolas Scholtus, information officer at the Sûreté du Québec (SQ ).
The driver of the ATV was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim is a man in his 40s, whose identity was not immediately released.
“A police officer trained in collision investigation went to the scene to analyze the scene and try to establish the causes and circumstances surrounding the event,” said the SQ spokesperson.
The Sûreté du Québec investigation continues.
