A 16-year-old teenager died after being shot in the Saint-Michel area on Sunday evening in Montreal, reports the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
A call was made to 911 at around 9 p.m., concerning gunshots heard at the corner of rue Villeray and 20e avenue.
“When the police arrive on the scene [ils voient] an inanimate man on the ground. Maneuvers are undertaken, but the death is unfortunately noted on the spot by the paramedics », Asserted the spokesperson of the SPVM, Raphaël Bergeron. The victim was reportedly injured in the upper body.
Investigators from the Major Crimes Section of the SPVM are responsible for the case. They will meet the possible witnesses of this event. The police force does not yet know the motives for the homicide.
