A man was charged Saturday with the murder of a fifty-year-old man that occurred in broad daylight in Saint-Lin-Laurentides on Wednesday.
Stéphane Lamaute, 47, appeared Saturday afternoon by videoconference from the offices of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) in Mascouche, according to TVA.
He now faces one count of second-degree murder in the death of Pierre-Daniel Bentivegna, 51.
An arrest warrant was issued Friday against Lamaute, TVA reported. The 47-year-old man was arrested in Saint-Lin-Laurentides Friday, according to a press release issued by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Last Wednesday, Pierre-Daniel Bentivegna was found shot in broad daylight, around 3:30 p.m., in Saint-Lin-Laurentides.
