A 24-year-old young man was seriously injured on Monday evening following a collision involving a car and a farm tractor in Saint-Liguori, near Joliette in Lanaudière.
The accident occurred around 6:45 p.m. on the row of the Church, in an area where the speed is limited to 70 km / h, explained Catherine Bernard, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
Everything suggests that the driver of the car would not have seen the tractor, which was rammed from behind.
The passenger in the car was seriously injured in the collision. The authorities for a time feared for his life, but his condition stabilized by the end of the evening.
The drivers of the car and the tractor also suffered injuries that required transport to the Lanaudière Regional Hospital Center in Saint-Charles-Borromée. However, their life was not threatened.
A collision scene investigator went to the scene to try to determine the exact circumstances that led to the accident.
