Saint-Leonard | Car dealership targeted by arson

(Montreal) A car dealership in Montreal was the target of an arson attack in the borough of Saint-Léonard.

It was a call to 911 on Saturday, around 11:30 p.m., which alerted the emergency services about two vehicles on fire in the parking lot of the business located at the intersection of rue Jarry Est and boulevard Provencher.

“Since accelerant was observed on site, the firefighters transferred the investigation to us,” said Agent Véronique Comtois, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

“The scene has been protected and investigators from the SPVM arson section will go there during the day to analyze it,” she said.

No one was hurt.
