(Saint-Lambert) A man in his twenties was seriously injured by gunfire in Saint-Lambert, on the South Shore of Montreal, Thursday evening.



The victim was found around 7:30 p.m. in the outdoor parking area of ​​the Saint-Lambert station, located near the intersection of Rue Mercier and Avenue Mercille, according to the Police Department of the agglomeration of Longueuil (SPAL).

The man suffered “serious injuries to the upper body” and was transported to a hospital where his life is feared, SPAL said.

“The victim is known to the police,” said police spokesperson, public relations officer François Boucher.

Police had not made any arrests as of Thursday evening. The investigation was also continuing to determine the circumstances and motives surrounding this event.
