A septuagenarian is between life and death after the plane he was on crashed at Saint-Hyacinthe airport on Tuesday.
The Sûreté du Québec indicates that it was alerted to the situation around 4:45 p.m.
According to the first information available, the small aircraft crashed while landing. Its sole occupant was rushed to hospital.
The police force dispatched its forensic identification service to the site which will attempt to clarify the circumstances of the event. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will also go to the scene to shed light on this accident.
