Saint Hubert | Man stabbed at motel dies

The man who was stabbed Friday night in a motel in Saint-Hubert, on the South Shore of Montreal, ultimately died of his injuries.


This was announced Saturday morning by the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL), stating that he was known to the police.

The suspect in this case, also a Saint-Hubert resident known to law enforcement, will appear Saturday afternoon and could face a murder charge. He and the victim knew each other.

The SPAL specifies that its investigators are still trying to determine the causes of the event and will meet a witness soon.

Recall that the sad event occurred around 9:10 p.m. Friday in the room of a motel on Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Boulevard, in Saint-Hubert.

The victim, stabbed, had been transported to a hospital, where there were fears for his life. A 52-year-old man was arrested shortly after.
