A rare backpedal. AS Saint-Etienne supporters, initially banned from traveling to Dijon for the first day of Ligue 2 on Saturday, will finally be able to go to Gaston-Gérard, franceinfo learned: sport Tuesday July 26 from the prefecture of Côte d ‘Gold.

“The prefectural decree has been repealed”, indicated the prefecture, specifying that the terms of supervision of the trip would be published later. The decree in question was published on July 19, echoing in particular the incidents that punctuated the meeting between ASSE and AJ Auxerre on May 29, sending the Greens to Ligue 2.

Several ultra-Stephanois groups, including the Magic Fans and the Green Angels, had themselves undertaken the negotiation process with the prefecture. Their group action paid off: they will be able to attend this inaugural match of the new Ligue 2 season, Saturday at 3 p.m.
