AS Saint-Etienne coach Claude Puel was dismissed from his post on Sunday 5 December after the club’s heavy 5-0 defeat against Rennes in the 17th day of Ligue 1 football, according to information gathered by management sports from Radio France.
The coach’s fate was hanging by a thread and this new defeat was one too many. After 17 league days, Saint-Etienne is last in the Ligue 1 standings with only two victories since the start of the season.
Also according to this source, the names of Pascal Dupraz (former Toulouse football club coach) and David Guion (former Stade Reims coach) are cited to succeed Claude Puel.
