(Saint-Charles-Sur-Richelieu) SAINT-CHARLES-One of the two people who was on a motorcycle suffered serious injuries that put his life in danger, during an accident in Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu, in Montérégie, Thursday evening.
A collision between the motorcycle and a vehicle occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Chemin des Patriotes, or Route 133. According to information from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the person driving the vehicle probably did not see the motorbike and hit it.
Two people were on the motorcycle, a man and a woman, and it was the latter who suffered life-threatening injuries.
The two people in the vehicle suffered a state of shock, adds SQ spokesperson Béatrice Dorsainville.
Route 133 has been closed in both directions between Autoroute 20, in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, and rue de l’Union, in Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu.
