Saïda Jawad and Cyril Descours dive into the prison world for The noise of the trousseaux

France 2 continues its broadcast of new programs, after having achieved good audiences thanks to the mini-series Germinal. The channel now offers viewers the opportunity to discover The noise of the keychains, written and directed by Philippe Claudel. Aired on November 8, the TV movie includes Saïda Jawad and Cyril Descours in the cast.

The noise of the keychains is an adaptation of the book of the same name written by Philippe Claudel and published in 2002, based on his own experience as a French teacher in a prison. An autobiographical story which “tells the story of some twelve years I spent working in prison as a teacher. It was a long, enriching, strange, disturbing experience, which has forever marked the man that I am (…) Many of my convictions, my certainties, my beliefs, have been shaken, modified by what I was able to see in this place, by the beings I frequented there, by observing the conditions in which they lived or worked there (…) The only distortion assumed in relation to reality consisted in changing the names of the people I mentioned“, he explains in a press release from France 2.

In the TV movie, it’s actor Cyril Descours (Clara sheller, A small area of turbulence, The Guardians…) who plays her role and who falls in love in prison with a woman played by Deborah François. “We readily philosophize about the fact that in the end we are born and die alone. At the same time, you can go see your parents, kiss your children, have a drink, phone someone. In prison, we face real loneliness“, entrusted the actor to The New Republic, to evoke its role.

Alongside them, we also find the actress Saida Jawad (Lawyers and partners, The conquest…) who had shared behind-the-scenes photos of the filming in Nancy and Paris, on Instagram, whose end clap had taken place last December. It is also necessary to count on David Mora or Philippe Duquesne (both of Scenes of households).
