A woman in her 30s was arrested in Saguenay after robbing a convenience store and assaulting a newborn baby.
The event began around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday evening, when the lady in question attacked another woman and her baby for no apparent reason, at Place du Citoyen, in the Chicoutimi sector.
In particular, she would have violently directed the stroller where the three-week-old child was towards a parked car. Fortunately, the baby had no injuries.
The suspect then went to a convenience store on Boulevard du Saguenay, where she notably stole several valuables using force. It was then that officers from the Saguenay Police Service (SPS) arrested him.
The 39-year-old woman will appear Thursday at the Chicoutimi courthouse. She is expected to face charges of robbery, assault and breach of conditions.
