Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean | Fourth day of searching to find the little girl who fell into the river

The search to find the 4-year-old girl who fell into the waters of the Mistassibi River in Lac-Saint-Jean on Friday resumed Monday morning after being suspended Sunday evening for safety reasons.

Searches carried out by divers and several police officers have so far been in vain.

The little girl was sliding with her mother on a snowy slope in Dolbeau-Mistassini when the tragedy occurred around 2:30 p.m. near Route 169. The child was unable to stop her run, passing under the fence of a guardrail installed along the bank of the river.
