(Lac-Bouchette) The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is issuing an “imminent threat” alert for the village of Lac-Bouchette, in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, due to the presence of a possibly armed man.
In a brief message posted at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning on Twitter, the police force recommends that the population of this municipality of 1,100 inhabitants lock their doors, move away from windows and leave the area if it is safe to do so. TO DO.
The SQ is also asking people not to approach the suspect and instead call 911 if they see him.
The possibly armed man is a resident of the area. The police have reason to fear for his health and safety.
The suspect is five-foot-nine, weighs 150 pounds, and is said to be wearing dark pants, a black fleece, a dark cap, and glasses.
