Safia Nolin withdraws her songs from QUB musique

Safia Nolin withdraws her songs from QUB musique, Quebecor’s online listening platform, after the media company’s refusal to put an end to the “harassment” of its columnists towards the artist.

The QUB musique platform is intended as a Quebec alternative to applications such as Spotify or Apple Music. Nearly 75 million songs are there.

“The QUB ecosystem also hosts the opinions of columnists who have freely and repeatedly made negative comments about me, argues Safia Nolin in a post on social networks to justify her decision. […] I believe that by their quantity, their tone and the hatred they generate towards me, these chronicles constitute a form of harassment. I have repeatedly asked Quebecor and its columnists to show some humanity to me. »

His record company, Bonsound, had recently come to his defense by asking columnists Richard Martineau and Sophie Durocher to stop intimidating him.

Faced with Quebecor’s refusal to cooperate, Safia Nolin maintains that this withdrawal of her music from QUB constitutes “the last resort [lui] remains, as an artist, to regain some power over the situation”.
