sad announcement about his show “Friday anything goes”

Like every year, as the holidays approach, TF1 is programming a special Friday everything is allowed bonus called VTEP Christmas. This Friday, December 22, 2023, Arthur was back with a new issue which unfortunately did not convince many people. Despite the presence of comedians Chantal Ladesou, Caroline Vigneaux, Ahmed Sylla, Florent Peyre, Booder, Cartman, Tareek and Gérémy Credeville, Miss France and Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere, singers and actresses Camille Lou and Shy’m, and dancers Chris Marques, Christophe Licata and Inès Vandamme, this show was marked by a poor performance difficult to digest for Arthur. Indeed, as revealed by the figures published by Médiamétrie this Saturday, December 23, only 2.21 million viewers watched the first part broadcast until 10:32 p.m., or only 11.1% of the public.

The second part, scheduled until 11:39 p.m., scared away more than 600,000 viewers, and the audiences are catastrophic: only 1.57 million fans lasted until the end of the show, or 11.2% of the public. The audiences on the targets, supposed to increase by the hour, showed an alarming signal for Arthur, since they went the opposite way: if 24% of housewives were in front of the first part, they were only 22% to watch the second. If the show achieves an audience failure, it nevertheless remains stable over a year since the last VTEP Christmas to date brought together exactly the same number of viewers last year, for 10.9% of the public. In 2021, 2.64 million viewers responded to the call, and in 2019, there were almost 3 million.

The show dropped to 64,000 viewers earlier this month

Although the show has been attracting increasingly confidential audiences for several years, it does not seem to be under threat since TF1 has ordered new, unpublished numbers from Arthur. However, these new releases are programmed randomly by TF1, since two numbers had been proposed on the night of December 1 to 2, 2023, on the sly. The first new number, broadcast from 12:35 a.m. to 2:20 a.m., attracted only 178,000 viewers for 6.9% of the public, and the second, offered until 3:40 a.m., plunged on TF1 at 64,000 viewers (4.6%). TF1 will undoubtedly be able to reschedule these two new releases without the slightest difficulty in the coming weeks, like new releases…
