Sacred the oldest dog in the world | Bobi dies at 31

(Lisbon) Bobi, who was named the oldest dog in the world in February by Guinness World Records, died at the age of 31, Portuguese media reported Monday, citing his owner who lives in a small village in central Portugal.

“We have fond memories of a long life where he was happy and, above all, where he made many people happy, especially his family,” Leonel Costa told local media.

Bobi, who lived in Conqueiros, a small village near Leiria, “died at the age of 31 years and 165 days,” said Guinness World Records.

Bobi’s peaceful life had been turned upside down since the announcement on the 1er February Guinness, which lists world records.

He was 30 years and 266 days old when his longevity was approved, becoming the oldest dog of all time.

In the days that followed, he had a series of visits from curious people and media from around the world.

This Rafeiro, a breed of dog which normally has an average life expectancy of between 12 and 14 years, reminiscent of Guinness, lived surrounded by cats in a house in this small village in the center of the country.
