He then qualified by assuring that Haribo “strongly condemns” and that the company “cannot support the use of our notoriety for this kind of prohibited and harmful product”. He promises “legal action if we can identify the person at the origin of this hijacking”.

The traffickers are increasingly creative in their “marketing strategy”. In December 2020, for example, the Morbihan police officers seized sachets of “Dragon ball Z” drugs. In Nantes, last February, the drugs were in “Kinder surprise” packaging. And in October, bags bearing the effigy of Eric Dupond-Moretti, the Minister of Justice, were seized in Isère.
