Sacha Houlié, figure of the Macronist left wing, will vote against the bill

The Renaissance deputy Sacha Houlié, president of the Law Commission and figure on the left wing of the presidential majority, will vote against the immigration bill, franceinfo learned on Tuesday December 19 from his entourage.

Sacha Houlié nevertheless chaired this joint joint commission which resulted on Tuesday in an agreement on the text, marked on the right and supported by the National Rally. Other deputies from the left wing of Renaissance announced their vote against, such as Stella Dupont, Cécile Rilhac, Nadia Hai and Eric Bothorel, some citing around thirty defections in the presidential majority group.

National Rally deputies will vote for the immigration bill “as it appears from the joint joint commission”announced their President Marine Le Pen on Tuesday, welcoming “a law toughening immigration conditions”. “We can rejoice in an ideological advance, an even ideological victory for the National Rally, since the national priority is now enshrined in this law”she added.
