(Bos-Le-Duc) Canadian Bianca Andreescu qualified for the final of the grass court tournament in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, thanks to a 6-4, 6-2 victory over the Hungarian Dalma Galfi.
The 23-year-old Ontario native is participating in a second tournament after a 10-month absence due to a back injury. She started the tournament at 228e world rank.
In the final, Andreescu will face the winner of the duel between two-time defending champion Ekaterina Alexandrova and second-seeded Liudmila Samsonova.
Andreescu will participate in a first final since the Bad Homburg grass tournament in 2022. She will aim for a first title since her triumph at the US Open in 2019.
Against Galfi, Andreescu had four breaks of serve and suffered just one break of serve.
Galfi called a medical timeout in the second set.
