“It’s exciting to meet again because we are really on the same wavelength in our relationship to politics, to our role as a journalist. And at the same time, we have slightly different looks. We complement each other “ says Ruth Elkrief. David Pujadas confirms: “On the apprehension of politics, the need for politics, the desire for politics and even questioning, we are very much in tune. Afterwards, the journalistic practice that we had during these years, obviously, was quite different So we put that back together, that’s what’s nice and funny.”

Their new show, which will host Valérie Pécresse for the first issue, consists of trying to convince abstainers to return to vote. Six citizens, always the same each time, will dialogue with the candidates whose mission will be to convince them to go to the polls.

“We started from the principle that there is today a form of party of the distant, the skeptics, the angry people who no longer believe in anything, who worry, who no longer understand, who are outside the system. And our idea was to reconnect that with politics” explains Ruth Elkrief, who is covering her 7th presidential campaign. For David Pujadas, this is the 5th. “Long live politics! Politics is good, politics is healthy. Civic life is important. Because if we, the media, do nothing, politics will gradually devitalize .” concludes David Pujadas.
