In a Twitter post, Alex Tyrrell said Russia’s demands, which include demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, among other things, “are reasonable demands that [lui] should be accepted.”

Quickly, the former politician Bernard Drainville reacted. “You seriously insult the Jewish community and adopt #Putin’s rhetoric, which makes you his accomplice (sic),” he wrote on Twitter, adding that the green party should be ashamed of its leader and that he should resign.

For his part, CAQ MP Christopher Skeete believes that this request that the Canadian government endorse Russia’s demands is “a horrible insult to the Jewish community of Quebec”.
